Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 9 August 2026

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the Legacy Events website, including legacyevents.ch and any other domain operated by Legacy Events, event registration forms, email communications, social-media interactions, and related services, information and activities (together, the “Platform” or “Services”).

By visiting the Platform, submitting a registration, contacting us, or otherwise interacting with Legacy Events, you acknowledge these Terms. A contract for attendance or another paid service is formed only when Legacy Events expressly confirms your registration or booking, or as otherwise stated during the booking process.If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform or Services.

1. Provider and scope of services

Legacy Events organises professional networking events, community gatherings, workshops and related activities focused on business development, industry connections and knowledge sharing.

The Services may include:
- event announcements, descriptions and registration information;
- registration processing and event communications;
- confirmations, reminders and updates; and
- access information for registrations that have been expressly confirmed.

No memberships or subscriptions are currently offered. Legacy Events may introduce a yearly pass or another recurring or multi-event product in the future. Any such product will be subject to separate terms, pricing and availability published at the time of launch.

Event details may change, including the date, time, venue, format, speakers, programme and participating partners. Where legally required, we will provide the information and remedies applicable to the relevant booking or contract. Marketing statements about networking, speakers, attendees or business outcomes are not guarantees of a particular result.

2. Registration and admission

To register, you must provide complete, accurate and current information. A submitted registration is an application and does not by itself guarantee admission. Admission is confirmed only when Legacy Events sends an express confirmation or otherwise clearly accepts the registration.

Events may have limited capacity. Subject to applicable law, Legacy Events may approve, reject or place registrations on a waiting list using reasonable, non-discriminatory criteria. A registration does not guarantee:
- admission until expressly confirmed;
- a particular seat, accommodation or networking opportunity;
- contact with a particular attendee, speaker or partner; or
- that the event will take place in its originally announced form.

You must follow venue rules, safety instructions and applicable law. You may be required to show valid identification, wear an event badge or comply with reasonable access and security procedures.

3. Payments and refunds
Current status: The Legacy Events website currently has no integrated payment functionality.

Future payments: If payment functionality is introduced, payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Their separate terms and privacy notices may apply in addition to these Terms. Prices and any applicable taxes, fees and payment conditions will be displayed before a binding purchase is completed.

Refund policy: All registrations and payments are final and non-refundable.

No refunds, credits or exchanges are provided for event cancellations, postponements, date, time or venue changes, speaker changes or attendee-list modifications.

An exception applies only where a refund or modification has been expressly agreed in separate written form by Daniel Filatov or authorised Legacy Events management.

Force majeure events, including natural disasters, government restrictions, venue unavailability and health emergencies, do not entitle an attendee to a refund.

The above provisions apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law. They do not exclude or restrict any mandatory statutory rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

4. Event changes and cancellation
Legacy Events may reasonably modify, postpone or cancel an event where this is necessary because of circumstances such as venue or supplier problems, safety concerns, insufficient capacity, speaker unavailability, government measures or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Where applicable law requires a specific remedy because Legacy Events cannot provide the agreed service, that remedy remains unaffected. No statement in these Terms is intended to exclude mandatory rights relating to non-performance, defective performance, personal injury, data protection or consumer protection.

5. User conduct

You agree to:
- provide truthful registration and professional information;
- keep your contact details up to date;
- comply with venue policies, safety instructions and applicable law;
- treat staff, speakers, venues and other attendees respectfully; and
- use the Platform and event access only for lawful purposes.

The following conduct is prohibited:harassment, discrimination, threats or intimidation;unlawful, disruptive or unsafe conduct;unauthorised recording, photography or publication;commercial solicitation without prior permission; anddamage to property or equipment.

For a reasonable and proportionate cause, including a breach of these Terms or a safety concern, Legacy Events may refuse admission, remove a person from an event, cancel access or restrict future participation. Where a statutory refund or other remedy applies, this remains unaffected.

6. Intellectual property and event recordings
Unless stated otherwise, text, graphics, logos, designs, event materials, photographs, videos and other content on the Platform or provided by Legacy Events (the “Content”) is owned by Legacy Events, its licensors or the relevant content contributors.

Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Content for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with the Services. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, modify, create derivative works from, commercially exploit, resell, sublicense, scrape or data-mine the Content without prior written permission.

Events may be photographed, filmed or recorded for documentation and lawful marketing purposes. Where required by applicable law, Legacy Events will provide appropriate information, obtain consent or offer a reasonable way to object. Do not record or publish other attendees without the required permission.

AI-generated team imageryAny images presented as illustrative team or brand imagery that are generated or materially altered using artificial intelligence will be clearly labelled next to the relevant image. Such images do not represent actual employees, contractors or contractual relationships unless expressly stated. Legacy Events will not present illustrative AI-generated imagery as documentary evidence of a real person or team.

7. Liability and statutory rights

Legacy Events is liable without limitation for:
- damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence;
- injury to life, body or health caused by a breach of duty by Legacy Events or its representatives or agents;
- liability under a mandatory statutory product-liability or data-protection provision; and
- any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

For ordinary negligence, Legacy Events is liable only for a breach of a material contractual obligation, meaning an obligation whose performance is necessary for the proper performance of the contract and on which the attendee may ordinarily rely. In that case, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract.

Subject to the preceding paragraphs, Legacy Events is not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, loss of profit or missed business opportunities, or the acts or omissions of independent third parties, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

Legacy Events does not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or permanently available. This does not exclude statutory rights relating to defects, non-performance, personal injury, data protection or consumer protection.8. Responsibility for personal belongings and third partiesAttendees remain responsible for their personal belongings. Legacy Events is liable for loss or damage only in accordance with Section 7 and applicable mandatory law.

Venues, payment providers, booking tools, speakers and other third parties may provide separate services under their own terms. Legacy Events is not responsible for independent third-party services beyond its legally applicable duties to select, coordinate or inform.

9. Indemnification

If you culpably breach these Terms or applicable law and this causes a third-party claim against Legacy Events, you must reimburse Legacy Events for the necessary and reasonable costs directly resulting from that breach, including reasonable legal costs where legally recoverable.

This obligation does not apply to the extent that Legacy Events caused or contributed to the claim, nor does it limit any statutory rights you have as a consumer.

10. Suspension and termination
Legacy Events may temporarily restrict access or terminate an account or registration for a reasonable cause, including a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, unlawful conduct, a safety risk or misuse of the Platform. Where practicable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue unless immediate action is reasonably necessary.

Termination does not affect rights and obligations that arose before termination. Mandatory statutory rights and remedies remain unaffected.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country in which a consumer has their habitual residence remain applicable where required by law.

If you are a consumer, the courts that have jurisdiction under the mandatory rules applicable to your habitual residence remain available to you. If you are an entrepreneur or a legal person under public law, or if you have no general place of jurisdiction in Germany, the courts of Düsseldorf, Germany, have jurisdiction to the extent legally permissible.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a party from using mandatory statutory collective, representative or consumer-redress procedures.

12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms where this is necessary because of changes to the Services, legal requirements, security or operational processes. The updated version will be published on the Platform with a new “Last Updated” date.

Changes to an existing contract will apply only where legally permitted. If a change materially affects an existing contractual obligation, Legacy Events will notify you in a durable medium where required and will not rely on your continued use alone as consent where express consent is legally necessary.

13. Force majeure
Neither party is responsible for a failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, government action, labour disputes or significant supplier or venue failures.

This provision does not remove mandatory statutory rights or remedies that apply when an agreed service cannot be provided.

14. General provisions
If an individual provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. The invalid provision will be replaced, where legally possible, by the applicable statutory rule.

Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

Legacy Events may assign rights and obligations to a successor in connection with a transfer of the relevant business, provided that mandatory legal protections are preserved. You may not assign your contractual rights where this would materially affect performance or create additional obligations for Legacy Events, unless permitted by law.

These Terms do not create rights for third parties unless mandatory law provides otherwise.15. Contact information
